![]() ![]() Y’see, at the end of Starsight, Spensa winds up diving through a weird space-portal to the Nowhere, a weirdo quantum dimension that’s somehow connected to the Delvers, a hive mind of omnicidal extradimensional superintelligences. The thing that Sanderson likes to do in this series is to plunk Spensa down into a completely new setting. That Spensa named M-Bot what she did is just indicative of how much of a dork she is, honestly. Also Martha Wells is a better writer but like I said this could be a long list). (That’s short for Massacre-Bot, not Murderbot, for the record. So yeah, Cytonic continues to follow the adventures of ace fighter pilot and space-psychic (the term in the setting is “cytonic,” hence the title) Spensa Nightshade, and her awakened AI spaceship M-Bot. Skyward was interesting enough (if somewhat clunky in places), and I really enjoyed the sequel, Starsight, and so I was curious enough about the next one! I say that about most books.Ĭytonic is the third of Brandon Sanderson’s space opera series he started with Skyward awhile back. This cover needs more spaceships and lasers. ![]()
